Acoustics ’27 cares about the environment!

At Acoustics ’27, we recognise the importance of sustainability. That’s why we are committed to making our congress in Brussels as eco-friendly as possible. Through mindful planning and small but impactful changes, we aim to reduce our environmental footprint while providing a great experience for our delegates.

Acoustics ’27 will be “green” meaning we will focus on sustainability, environmental action, and minimizing ecological impact by implementing practices like digital materials, sustainable transport, waste reduction (reusable bottles), and supporting local green businesses.

From planning to execution, we are committed to integrating sustainability into all aspects of congress management.

Goals:
To minimize negative environmental impact and contribute positively to the host community.
To provide a platform for sharing best practices and fostering collaboration for a sustainable future.
To inspire participants to adopt sustainable practices in their own lives and work.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_5″ _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” custom_padding=”69px|||||” global_colors_info=”{}”]

Our Green Initiatives

To ensure a more sustainable event, we are implementing several eco-conscious measures:

Responsible Waste Management

Responsible Waste Management
Reduction of food waste: We will use reusable mugs, plates, and cutlery and avoid the use of disposable items. If disposable items are necessary, we will ensure they can be recycled. We will also provide water stations for reusable bottles

Sustainable Conference Materials
We are reducing printed materials and embracing digital solutions to minimise paper waste. For example, the Final Programme will not be printed but can be downloaded on the conference website or found in our easy to use Conference Application.

Local Catering
Our catering choices will prioritise sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on reducing food waste. Next to that, the catering provider makes use of sustainable serving materials.

Supporting the Local Community
We are working with local partners and suppliers to reduce transport emissions and support sustainable businesses.

Greener Accommodations
We recommend hotels close within walking distance to the conference venue, encouraging our attendees to use more sustainable travel options.

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”3_5,2_5″ _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”3_5″ _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]

How You Can Help

Sustainability is a shared effort! Here are some ways you can contribute to making our conference greener:

Go Digital: Use the Conference App and digital resources instead of printing materials.

Choose Sustainable Transportation: Use public transportation (train, bus) from the airport to your hotel.

Offset Your Carbon Footprint: If you’re flying to Brussels, consider carbon offset programmes that support reforestation or renewable energy projects.

Be Mindful of Waste: Use recycling bins correctly and minimise food waste.

Bring a Reusable Water Bottle: Reduce waste by refilling your reusable water bottle at our water stations.

Bring Your Own Writing Materials: To reduce waste, we won’t be providing pens or notebooks at this conference. Please remember to bring your own notepad and pens.

By working together, we can make a real difference. Let’s create an event that is not only impactful, but also kind to our planet.

We look forward to seeing you in Brussels for a sustainable and inspiring conference!
